Riding a scooter to school or work can save you time and money on your daily commute. An electric scooter can be even cheaper to run and it’s also better for the environment.
If you commute around 300-miles a month, a fuel-efficient moped would cost you roughly £15 in fuel, whereas the equivalent electric scooter would cost just £1.50.
While these vehicles may cost more than the traditional petrol ones to buy new, the investment will pay off in the long run. If you are thinking about buying one but don’t know where to start, check out our review of every electric scooter on sale in the UK.

I purchased a Silence SO2 from the UK dealer in June 2020, they are called Electric Wheels Hire and my contact was with a Chris Hurdle. Post sales service has been non existent, no manual, no V5, no pillion seat as ordered, no instructions to fit the top box, etc. Contacted Silence in Spain, dealt with a lady called Zen, again, absolutely appalling service, no one In either company cares. Do not deal with either the UK arm or Silence direct.
