If you want to gain the relevant skills and knowledge to help a fellow biker after an accident, taking a motorcycle-specific first aid course is a great act of kindness. A lot of courses are provided for free and last half a day. More in-depth courses are offered for a fee but you also receive a qualification certificate and further knowledge. Biker Down! Is a national scheme aimed at bikers who want to learn essential skills to help fellow motorcyclists in an accident. Courses are free and last around 3 hours. Visit their Facebook page for locations.

First Aid For Bikers
Launched by Train Aid Inc. FAB is a free course in the Staffordshire area for bikers who want to learn how to cope with biker related injuries. Taught by experienced trainers and professionals, these half-day workshops provide vital instruction to assist fellow riders.
First Aid Training That Cares
Covering all aspects of first aid, including motorcyclist specific care, this course costs £65 per person and can be completed in 1 day. Taught by professionals, you receive a certificate on completion.
Biker Down! Cymru - Wales
A free 3 – 4 hour course for bikers who wish to extend their first aid knowledge. Consisting of 3 modules, scene management, casualty care and being seen.
Biker Down! North Yorkshire
A free course run by bikers, for bikers. The course is 3 hours and will teach you up to date techniques on how to help in the event of a motorcycling accident.
Following the Biker Down! national scheme, The London Fire Brigade offers free courses following up to date training on motorcycle accidents. Training consists of 3 modules over 3 hours.
ProTraining offers classroom-based and online courses (for those who may struggle to get to a venue) which are accredited by The Auto-Cycle Union (ACU) – the governing body for motorcycle sport in the British Isles (less Northern Ireland). This course covers all aspects of biker first aid including initial care, cardiac problems, helmet removal, and more.
Provided free by fire services across the UK, Scottish courses are available in Motherwell, Oban, and South Queensferry. Courses run for 3 hours and include 3 modules: scene management and safety, first aid and trauma, and science of being seen.
